Easter--April 24, 2011

Before we went to church, Oliver and Eli opened their Easter package from Grandma Jaberg! (Notice Eli is refusing to look up...which I think you'll notice as a recurring theme in almost all of our Easter pictures this year!)

Easter goodies from Grandma Jaberg!

This was the best photo I got of the boys...again, Eli wasn't interested in posing for pictures. The next one is an example of how most of the rest of our pictures turned out!

Lovely!

Thank you, Oliver! I can always count on you to appease my obsession with getting good photos on special occasions! What a handsome boy!

Eli found his Easter basket!

And so did Oliver!

Eli enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL weather by swinging with his new ball from his Easter basket!

Later in the afternoon, we drove to Hesston for our annual Diller Easter gathering. After dinner, all of the "Diller" kids (except for the babies) had fun hunting for Easter eggs! This is all of them posing before the hunt began.

Soccer Game--April 23, 2011

These are some pictures that we took last week at Oliver's soccer game. Next week will be his last game this season...then on to summer soccer camps and another league. Maybe it's time for me to learn the game of soccer, since I have a feeling I'm going to be sitting through a lot more games over the next few years!

Is that really comfortable??--April 18, 2011

After a long day at the zoo with friends, Eli was completely wiped out and fell asleep like this!

I didn't want his legs to fall asleep so I moved him after I took these photos. Of course, that woke him up...I guess that's what I get for messing with a sleeping baby! Luckily, he fell back asleep without too much struggle!

Eli and Aubrey--April 11, 2011

Since Eli is very vocal...okay, let's be honest...EXTREMELY LOUD these days, we decided it wasn't the best idea to take him to Oliver's music concert last week. So we asked Melody and Wayne if they would watch Eli during the concert. Melody took these photos of Eli and Aubrey while they were playing that night and I just thought they were too cute! Melody said they spent a lot of time playing in the tent (a small pop up tent that is just the right size for little bodies!)

Rolling around and laughing at each other is so much fun!

Easter Egg Hunt--April 16, 2011

Every year, the church down the street from our house has an ENORMOUS Easter egg hunt. Last year I took the boys for the first time and knew we had to go again this year. This was the first year Eli participated, and it was so fun to watch him figure out what to do!

Oliver found so many eggs that at one point he had to dump his eggs in the stroller because he was running out of room!

They also had a small petting zoo, which both of the boys loved. Oliver was really good about holding the animals so Eli could pet them.

Oliver digging--April 15, 2011

For the last two evenings, Pat and Wayne have been working in our backyard doing so much needed yard work. They've been digging out plants and bushes that were planted by the previous owners of our house and this is their pile to go in the dumpster tomorrow! (I'm going to try to get some photos of Pat and Wayne working tonight! They'll be thrilled, I'm sure.)

And this is how Oliver chose to spend some of his afternoon on his day off of school! He decided he wanted to help the clean-up process by digging himself. So despite a wind chill of 32 degrees and gusts of wind blowing 35-50 mph (thanks, Kansas weather) Oliver spent over an hour in the backyard digging! Seriously, this kid would live outside if I let him!

Wow, I LOVE this boy (even when he drives me slightly nuts on his days off of school!)

Oliver's First Grade Program--April 11, 2011

The first grade classes at Oliver's school gave their spring concert called "Come Rain or Shine." They sang 12 songs and had actions to go with all of the songs. (I know I'm just a little bit biased, but I thought it was SO cute!)

Oliver even had a small speaking part! (I have a video of him saying his part, but I can't figure out how to get it to work!)

My big boy!

Eli on the slide--March 27, 2011

I found this slide last fall at a garage sale and until recently, Oliver and his friends (who are WAY too big for it) are the only ones who have used it. However, Eli discovered that he liked the slide at church and decided to try this one at home! Now he wants to "side" (slide) all of the time!

One proud little boy!
